With Photoshop CS4, Adobe has changed the look of the interface and taken customization
to a new level. You can modify your settings and preferences by adjusting the workspace,
the panels, and the tools to fit the requirements of specific projects. You can
close some panels and open others to simplify your screen and keep only the tools you need
available. You can make your own gradients, customize shortcuts, and design your own
brushes. These may seem like boring steps, yet by learning to customize Photoshop you
gain familiarity with the program and become more efficient as you try different projects.
